As you have probably already heard from the media, a German casino player was recently sentenced to a fine (not yet legally binding) in proceedings before the Munich District Court for participating in public gambling at an online gambling provider with an EU license ) while at the same time confiscating his profits. In our opinion, such a judgment is in clear contradiction to the European principle that goods and services offered within the EU can be used freely by every EU citizen at their own discretion. We therefore assume that this procedure will be continued in higher courts, but under the current circumstances we are forced to discontinue our service to German customers.
From Monday, February 16, 2015, from 12:00 p.m., all user accounts registered under a German address will be blocked by us. Until this point, you have the option of making payouts directly via your user account and, as usual, we will ensure that your credit is paid out as quickly as possible. If you do not make use of this option by 12:00 p.m. on Monday, you will of course still have the option of having your credit paid out after this period has expired. However, due to the following inaccessibility of your user account, we would then ask you to contact us via live chat or email (support@guts.com) with your request.
We at Guts would like to expressly apologize for the inconvenience caused and hope that the legal framework in Germany will develop positively so that we can offer you the casino experience that you have enjoyed with us again in the future now have.
