The fact that the new gaming authority GGL (joint gaming authority of the federal states) in Saxony-Anhalt is now putting Internet operators under pressure and threatening them with fines is really a joke.

Blocking requests, i.e. blocking of IP addresses, should be carried out by the Internet providers in order to take action against illegal gambling. What the Commission failed to do in its new

inadequate state treaty on gambling, others should now hold their heads. Congratulations if the Internet providers or payment providers put up with our policy.

In our constitutional state, coercion is a criminal offense and, if enforced, would also mean an encroachment on the privacy of users. This is really cheeky from this "so-called authority", which is supposed to ensure legal gambling and to protect the players.
