    RE: Skrill

Funds can now be transferred between Skrill and Neteller, an option many have been waiting for. With both providers, a transaction costs 1,9%, as with all other means of payment that are available.

Here is the info from Skrill

Fund your Skrill Account via NETELLER.
    Dear Chris,

we hope that you are satisfied with the Skrill payment services.

We are pleased to announce that all Skrill customers are now able to use NETELLER to fund their Skrill Wallet.

The NETELLER deposit facility has been added to your Skrill account. You can now transfer funds between your Skrill and NETELLER accounts. This also applies to all NETELLER account holders and those wishing to open one.

This additional deposit feature is part of our effort to continually improve Skrill for you. We hope that you will continue to use our services in the future.

    Thank you for using Skrill.

    Sincerely
    Your Skrill team

    Question Skrill card

    Hello!

    Have a question.

Have any of you ever withdrawn money in the USA with the Skrill card? Is that easy to do at the banks there and if so, are there any other fees in addition to the 1,8 fee?

Since I still have a Neteller USD card, I can't report on my own experiences with Skrill cards and US ATMs.

But maybe you can. help with the following ideas:

    - No (higher) VIP status at Skrill (anymore)? Until 25.01. the cash withdrawal fee of 1,80 euros will no longer apply for all VIP levels - from January 25th only for VIP's from level silver.
    - When using the (EUR)-based Skrill MasterCard, the FX Fees from Skrill will certainly be added. With USD ATM and EUR Skrill card currently probably 2,99% (or less/decreasing for higher VIP levels); from 25.01. 3,99%.
    - In addition, there is almost certainly the ATM fee of the cash machine operator (typically 3...6 USD) - which in my experience over the last 10...15 years can hardly be avoided. I no longer see any system behind it, when you still get ATM-fee-free ATMs. In the past, this could be tied to certain banking groups (I think, for example, Bank of America operated free ATMs for a long time); My recent experiences have all been negative.

    RE: Skrill

Thanks for your thoughts on the topic; so it could get expensive!

I could withdraw from Bank of America for free anyway. That's why I wanted to try it with Skrill. But in addition to the conversion fees, there is also the extra charge, no thanks....

    How do you mean?
Do you think Bank of America doesn't have ATM fees (yet)?
If so, what date are your findings from?

Or am I on the hose here?

    RE: Skrill

The BoA is in my house bank's partner network - so it has never cost anything.

My thought with Skrill was just that I would use the money anyway. However, if it is relatively expensive to grow it in the US, I prefer to resort to other options.
