Question Annual balance sheet 2019 - deposits versus withdrawals

The last day of the year has dawned, I would like to take a quick look back at the past gambler year.

As always, there were good and bad phases, the bad ones were unfortunately longer than the good ones, but that was to be expected.

The really big profit did not materialize this year, there were always isolated profits that added up, the highest single payment for me this year was around 2700,- which is of course a lot of money, but there have been better ones years with us.

The bottom line for 2019 is a minus of 1000,-, manageable but I would of course have preferred a plus.

With that in mind, how was your gamer 2019?

AW: Annual balance sheet 2019 - deposits compared to withdrawals

about online casinos I can hardly report anything, since I live in a country where the laws are very strict and access to the online casinos are very limited. To play in the state-owned casinos, the effort is too high for me and there are only very few slot machines that are really interesting. In addition, the limits are anything but worth mentioning, since only very small low rollers can really enjoy the game.
There were many new interesting online slot machines in 2019 that I would have liked to play for real money because I really liked them for fun!

At the beginning of the year we went to the local casino a few times, but things didn't go so well there. The slot game has been rebuilt and many of the latest slots can be found there. The live game area has also been completely redesigned, discarding many blackjack and roulette tables in order to expand it with poker games.

How is our balance sheet from 2019? We've had a couple of visits where we've lost quite a bit on the slot machines in the 5-figure range and have been able to recoup it with daring blackjack bets. However, Black Jack also let us down at some point, so that we left a five-digit amount in the casino. However, since the renovation measures tend to deter customers (at least for us), we didn't try any further and didn't make a new attempt to visit the casino again.

Conclusion: Online games from our country can only be fulfilled with very high requirements, which means that registering is not worth taking a closer look at the unattractive offer. Unfortunately, the casino is also only a tourist stronghold, which also shines through its very limited offer. The limits on real blackjack and roulette are 500 euros, which is the usual standard and, like us, can quickly lose a large amount. You could only keep that in balance with regular visits, but we held back and accepted the loss.

I've never really kept a book, but when I look at the facts:

Except for all the cigarettes and some cheap groceries, a pack of 10 socks at the discounter, a single T-shirt, and about 3 smartphones under 100€ (sold off again at the end of the month), internet and rent were the only things I had in the end can be deducted from the balance sheet.
The consequence of this (health insurance, taxes, electricity, fines & co. ignored without exception all year round) has been the official garnishment of wages for three months now (private bankruptcy in your case), with which the employer only transfers the statutory subsistence level to my account every month or the maximum monthly deposit amount is thus limited.

In numbers, this translates to about the year 2019:

    Total deposits: 14'000-18'000
    Total payouts 1'500-2'500

Compared to the previous year, the misery is of course completely relaxed as a small improvement (e.g. no more such escalations of bets, losing very high winnings again, etc.), there will definitely be no lack of reasons.. you know about it

I live and work in Switzerland, but I'm less than 1 km from Germany and France (and have to work with all the cross-border commuters who only benefit from the wage level here, the pigs)

In Switzerland, okay I was thinking more like Austria, but yes I understand that clearly, some people commute over there for work, but they live in Germany, it's well known.

Cross-border commuters have been taxed quite heavily for some time and can hardly derive any benefit from it. But of course, as long as the bottom line is still more than in the home country, it was worth it!

Well, you can't blame them, would do the same in their place. Roughly speaking, you earn around double the wages for the same work.

I would probably do it too if possible here, but then I live too far away.
