Greentube, Novomatic's own interactive subsidiary, will no longer offer its games to players residing in Germany from December 29, 2017.

This bad news not only affects those who like to play Novoline online, but especially the partners who advertise with it.

Here are a few answers and background information on Greentube's withdrawal from the German market.

Novomatic made this decision based on a recent decision by the European Commission and the press release on a judgment by the Federal Administrative Court.

To put it in simple terms: Novomatic is simply afraid of losing its offline licenses if they could violate applicable law online. Of course, all this happened as a precaution, since we are basically moving in a gray market that is not regulated.

Novomatic earns billions offline, so the decision to say goodbye to the online business, which has made millions, was obvious for the time being.

As far as the two "own online casinos" (even if this is always denied) Stargames and SuperGaminator are concerned, both casinos will definitely no longer offer gambling from January 1, 2018. Stargames will probably only offer points play and SuperGaminator could disappear completely. Some employees are already looking for a new job, because actually both of them could be sacked if they don't add new providers.

We don't know whether the casinos in question will be kept open while looking for other options and thus hoping that this decision may be reversed at some point, because it will also be a financial question that is not in is our responsibility.

The decision of the Novomatic subsidiary Greentube has hit many advertising partners hard and it also shows that as a partner you have absolutely no influence on the decisions that manufacturers, companies and licensed casinos ever make. The fact that these casinos do not have a Malta license but only one from Curacao should not bother Novoline lovers, because they pay out just like other casinos that have a Malta license.
