Betfair has decided to close its operations for Germany as of September 1st, 2020. However, this does not apply to Austria, which will remain part of the ROW-EU region.
The reason for this is the forthcoming regulatory measures in the region and the uncertainty regarding the regulations applicable in Germany.
This decision relates only to the casino product. The sports betting product is not affected by this change.
Existing German customers can continue to use the casino product.
