Neteller is now offering its customers a new security system, tokens, which many should be familiar with. At the moment all Vip members can set up the token as an app. It is not a must, but if you want, you can make your account even more secure.

Security: Introducing two-step authentication

Sometimes, I take risks. Occasionally, I drive over the speed limit, I don't always eat all my vegetables, and I've been known to place bets.
Despite that, I know the money and information in my NETELLER account is safe. NETELLER is trusted by millions of people around the world to handle their money and private information, and NETELLER is constantly updating and improving the online payment system.
There are responsibilities for me, too. I check my transaction history regularly, my password is based on a secret not even my husband knows, and I only use computers that I know and trust to access my account.
Now, there's one more thing I can do to make my NETELLER Account even more secure: two-step authentication.
This simple new feature takes my security to a whole new level. Basically, it's a virtual token. Every time I sign into my account, I use an app on my smartphone to generate a one-time-use code that is entered along with my password. It's simple, straightforward, and easy to use. I like it!
To set up two-step authentication, sign into your account and choose the Settings page. You'll need to have your smartphone with you.
This new tool from NETELLER gives me a little more peace of mind. You should try it out!
Now available for all VIP members!

I once asked about the current credit card limits for Gold Vips, it might be interesting for one or the other.

EUR - daily limit 5,250.00
Daily count 15
Every 4 day limit 15,750.00
Every 4 days counts 45

GBP - Daily limit 3,500.00
Daily count 15
Every 4 day limit 10,500.00
Every 4 days counts 45

Those limits are for POS Purchase

Cash withdrawals are as usual 3000US or 2500Euro per day.

Attention!
If you are not a Gold Vip but were already Vip Gold before the changeover of the Vip system in 2012, you are in the N+ card system and also have a limit of up to 2500 euros per day.

And yesterday I thought, why does the card show that it is invalid or is it perhaps an April Fool's joke? Then I suspected that it could possibly be due to Mastercard. That explains of course now that yesterday/today no access was possible, whether website or Net+Karte. You stand there like an ox in front of a mountain and think, great! :confused0006:

As Optimal Payments Plc (OPAY) already announced in a press release on March 23, 2015, an agreement was reached with shareholders of the Skrill Group to buy the service provider Skrill with an enterprise value of EUR 1,1 billion take over.

Skrill is one of the leading companies in Europe for digital payments, online payment processing and one of the largest online prepaid voucher providers with its paysafecard brand.

Of course, the takeover is opposed to a number of official approvals and approvals (OPAY shareholders) that have to be fulfilled.

If this step is finally completed, I think that it will be of advantage for the customers, since many users already use both services with their respective advantages.

If this step is finally completed, I think that it will be of advantage for the customers, since many users already use both services with their respective advantages.

I now see it completely differently.

Skrill and Neteller should both be big enough by now to make a decent living.
But if the number 1 and 2 of the gambling e-wallet providers in Europe (I'll leave PayPal out there...) want to merge - then the subsequent lack of competitive pressure means for the customers in general nothing good...
I already find some of the deposit and withdrawal fees, but especially the currency conversion fees, to be borderline.

playtime slotti
13.06.15, 10: 50
What I specifically meant by advantage was the alignment in terms of limits/fees for withdrawals from ATMs etc. On the other hand, this also depends on the personal VIP status of the respective account.

In principle, fees of any kind are always felt to be too high and sometimes you just have to accept them. But that also depends on the status in this case.

I agree with you that the merger of two companies can certainly lead to a monopoly position and thus the competitive pressure is eliminated. It will not be the case that Skrill will no longer be available as a provider, but both fees and limits, as well as the availability in some casinos, could be adjusted. Perhaps both companies will be continued in the same way as before, internal competition as it were, we shall see.

What bothers me personally and I also find it completely exaggerated is the recently levied processing fee of 1% for money express (max. $10 or €9 of the transaction amount), ie sending money between registered Neteller or also Skrill Accounts/Customers.

This fee can either be paid by the sender or the recipient will be deducted from the amount transferred. If there is also a possible surcharge for conversion fees for different currency accounts, then the service provider will charge twice.

Since both companies now belong together, a monopoly has arisen and you can change your fee structure. We customers can do little about this and have to accept this disadvantage with these two e-wallet companies.

However, this only applies when transferring between two different account types, if both accounts are VIP, there should be no charge.

I have to say the following, these fees are very low in comparison, no matter whether it is Neteller or Skrill, because none of you will probably pay tax on your payouts that come from casinos, which you should actually do. These two providers are still the safest method to transfer your funds in peace. I absolutely cannot understand if someone is upset about these fees. After all, both providers offer a service in the online business that you will not find anywhere else.

What particularly annoys me about Neteller is the terribly confusing presentation of the fees.

The presentation of the fee structure for normal deposits and withdrawals is still possible...

But how much does it cost to send someone money via Neteller (is that called Money Express?)?
(I must have used this once in the past to give my financial party contribution/share to an Englishman...)

Under "Money Express" there is a barely legible footnote:

*Please note that as of September 15, 2015, express money transfers between Germany and Turkey will incur a fee of 1% of the transfer amount. The maximum fee is $10. From October 15, 2015, the same fee applies to all Money Express transfers.

I can't find any mention of the fees for VIP's at Geld-Express - not even with the VIP benefits...

I tried it out yesterday - and with an exorbitantly high amount and even without specifying the recipient email, I get a fee of 1€.
How does that fit with all the dates given?

Can someone report from their own experience/past what money express payments cost?

I'll also contact my VIP supervisor - let's see what she says.

I see it a bit differently, because this fee also applies to accounts with VIP status, but you should assume normal status. Fees are only reimbursed retrospectively from VIP level Gold, but that is not relevant here. I also don't believe that one would have to pay taxes on casino winnings, because that would also mean, conversely, that one could deduct losses. There is no question that these two providers offer the safest method of transferring or withdrawing money.

Geldexpress means nothing else than transfer money (express because it is transferred to another registered account in seconds and is immediately available)

You have already correctly copied this *note (unfortunately it is written below in very faint writing) and it was only introduced recently.

As I said, 1% of the transferred amount, but a maximum of only €9 or in USD 10, means for all amounts from €900 you pay €9 fee. If you now want to transfer a larger sum, then you usually have a limit per transaction up to a certain amount. If the amount you want to send is higher, then you are forced to split/perform it in several transactions, whereby each individual transaction will cost. However, this does not apply to deposits at merchants, only transfers to other accounts/clients of the service provider.

In order to reduce fees or even get them replaced, you have to be VIP Gold, these are the so-called amenities and advantages of a VIP account.

The other way around, you could say who of those who have a standard account is already dealing with higher amounts and that several times a month, unless you would win big in the casino every month.

That is the disadvantage of this merger of both companies and unfortunately we will accept that too. Of course, they know that very well and logically take advantage of it.

playtime spielo

The following applies...

However, the lucky ones have to be careful when the money arrives in their account and earns interest. Then the profits are subject to the withholding tax of currently 25 percent. This income must be declared and taxed at the tax office.

So an indirect tax must (must) be paid. Even worse is the fact that profits that go into the account and are not declared count as tax fraud and would then be a criminal offence.

It was not clear to me that VIP accounts under gold status would be prosecuted because I assumed it was me.

playtime slotti
26.11.15, 13: 48
I think we need to differentiate between bank accounts and e-wallet accounts. It's about the e-wallet accounts and the transfer within these providers and the associated fees, there's no interest there either.

If we now talk about casino winnings and transfers directly to German bank accounts, then tax law is certainly a hot topic, but that would go beyond the scope here because most of us are not experts in this field.

Ultimately, everyone has to decide for themselves how each individual handles these services and in what form.

Perhaps we can agree that some find these money transfer transaction fees acceptable and others excessive.

neteller has had serious problems with their system for a few days, so it often happens that no login is possible or endless loading times take place. Supposedly it is being worked on very intensively and should be up and running again long ago.

The hint if you have something, it still doesn't really work. Alternatively, it is better to use the mobile version at the moment, which works pretty smoothly.

After Skrill was probably hacked again, countless customers went over to Neteller.
Since Neteller and Skrill are like brother and sister, the defectors are now really bleeding.

As of May 17th, there will be no flat-rate fee for withdrawals from ATMs with the Master Card. Now 1,75% of the sum is tapped.

With a daily limit of 750 euros within the 24-hour time window, that's more than 13 euros in fees!

The customer is once again completely satisfied and enthusiastic about this cost-effective variant.

Hmmm, obviously not a cap.
And according to the rumors, Skrill is planning the same fee change.

It also makes "sense" - after all, it's now a company.
Now, what I always feared is starting to happen: Since the merger of Neteller and Skrill, there has been a certain monopoly position with regard to gambling-enabled, internationally widespread e-wallets. And like any other company in this position, you just take advantage of your opportunities...

In this respect, in my opinion, this has nothing to do with alleged defectors from Skrill to Neteller.

hello almera,

So the second account will not be deleted but simply deactivated. This procedure is not new and has been used for years when losing VIP status. However, there are differences in individual cases, depending on how sales were generated with both accounts, the secondary account will also remain active. Unfortunately, you can only ask by phone or email whether the account will be reactivated.

The balance on the deactivated account should be transferred, but unfortunately I can't tell you what about the bonus points. As soon as you have your old VIP level back, it goes without saying that the accounts will all work properly again and the bonus points will be there again if they were not transferred.

Getting downgraded is one thing, getting to and holding the higher level (silver in this case) is quite another. For me the limits are just way too high to get to a higher level. What was previously easy to achieve is becoming increasingly difficult, despite not significantly reducing deposits to merchants. And I am deliberately only talking about the two levels bronze and silver.

I'm also affected by this and have been downgraded to bronze because the limit simply couldn't be reached. It's okay that my activity now benefits me, but I don't think it's a good thing to simply drop an account like this. Here one could add up the activities of the primary account with the other currency account and would thus also reach the limit as a customer. Both accounts ( & $) are linked anyway and Neteller certainly doesn’t have a big disadvantage as a result.

Now, of course, you could use tricks and make higher deposits at the dealers over the course of the year, let's say €500, without a bonus, play around a bit and pay out again (even if you make a little loses). The disadvantage, it takes at least 2 days until you have the money back. You could also vary the sums a bit, but what I fear is that you will very quickly come under suspicion of money laundering, or become conspicuous through this and with some at least the alarm bell tickles.

I don't like what Neteller has been doing lately, restricting or whatever, it's a bit easier and more customer-friendly with EcoPayz.

Unfortunately, at Trada Casino it is no longer possible to deposit via Neteller, but Rapid Transfer is super fast. And a good alternative if you make the payment at the beginning of the week or by Thursday at the latest. I think it's a real shame, Neteller Skrill and PSC belong to the Paysafe Group PLC. This will bring losses at least for Neteller. But I think maybe there will be law changes again or other gray areas for certain casinos like Leo Vegas hopefully. I use Neteller (sometimes also Skrill) often and with pleasure. After all this back and forth taking over in the past, they also had to reorganize themselves first. Various changes and the still unregulated German market have also contributed to the fact that some online casinos have had problems here and there. Among other things, this also has to do with the licenses of the casinos.

There were also some problems with the availability of Neteller support, but that should be working again to some extent.

Sometimes it's hard to understand why Neteller is available in one casino and not in the next. Or deposits are not possible but withdrawals are. This not only leads to confusion but eventually also to switching to other methods.

Based on the last survey, I hope that there was enough evidence for Paysafe not only to improve the service but also to take the criticisms and comments seriously if the participants wrote their opinions openly and honestly. Based on the evaluation, they will also see which alternative methods the users are still using and how often.

That was certainly not the last takeover that we experienced and I can well imagine that Paysafe will also look around here and there at the other e-wallets (e.g. ecoPayz), if not even have a foot in the door Has.

I still stick with Neteller and my second option is ecoPayz. PayPal is also a good alternative to deposit. To use all of this in combination is ideal for me. They all charge fees, some more and some less. There are pros and cons with all providers.

I don't believe (or better said, I don't want to believe) that Neteller is withdrawing from the online gambling market, because these rumors have been around for a long time. To my mind, that wouldn't make any sense either.

Of course, it is difficult to say what exactly is right or not, but I also very much hope that Neteller will remain on the market and also available for German players.

I've been using this for years and I would have a hard time with a general omission, there are two alternatives that I think are great as a supplement but not as the main provider. (ecoPayz, PayPal)

Alternatively, there is also a credit card, which personally gives me a stomach ache to use it on the Internet.

Since they belong to Paysafe, they are getting worse and worse, constantly some verifications when logging in, then they constantly block my credit card and deposit in many casinos is no longer possible. Making something safer doesn't always mean it's going to get better.

do you find? I don't know of any other alternative to Neteller - and they caused me so many problems that I had to deal with faxes. In addition, there was no longer any decent German support. if at all - then only some with such bad German that it was incomprehensible. I was so annoyed about it that I haven't done anything there since last summer. I don't have any problems with Skrill - at least not at the moment - and the casinos where I play accept Skrill or I choose to make an immediate deposit. I don't think Paypal is that bad either, but you can't withdraw anything there, unfortunately you always have to transfer it to an account first.

Glumbi
04.06.18, 13: 55
The experiences are always so different, I only had problems with Skrill 2-3 years ago, the card for withdrawals often didn't work, payments to the bank account sometimes took 2 weeks, etc. Then I'm completely to Neteller where I already am always was. Only then did I take turns, with Neteller I have to say, no matter whether in Germany or abroad, there have never been any problems with the Mastercard. Although I have to say that I haven't had any credit transferred to my bank account for 2-3 years.

Usually leave the credit on the Neteller account or withdraw it with the Mastercard. Meanwhile, I don't find the fees for withdrawals that exciting either, I have to say, a withdrawal of 1000 € currently costs more than 17 €. I think it used to be a flat rate of €4,50 or something like that, I personally found that better.

almera
04.06.18, 14: 09
I also thought neteller was great back then - but as I said before, after only having problems - switched to skrill and I no longer pay any fees and neither for posting to the bank account nor for withdrawals. great thing - always works - am really very satisfied at the moment. the only downside is - as slotti wrote above - that skrill is not accepted as a means of payment at some casinos.

The problem is that Neteller blocks more and more providers for Germany and the account becomes useless. If I read in some casinos that they cannot deposit with Neteller but withdraw, how is that supposed to work when almost everyone nowadays pays attention to money laundering.

Well, first it was the casinos, it must be about 3 years ago that they kept to the law with us, today there are only state-owned online casinos. Then Neteller came along last year and excluded many countries, sometimes even the N+ cards were blocked, for us it was only access to the OCs. I've only played seldom for years, mostly I have the casinos tested because an objective opinion is much more important to me.

Glumbi

Hm, well, I just hope that this won't happen, otherwise I'll have to reorient myself quite a bit and playing online will become more and more complicated.

One of the points of criticism in the survey was that the distribution of the individual VIP levels is relatively unreal. Glumbi
21.10.18, 18: 11
I think Neteller has now also limited me as far as the amount of the possible payout with the Master Card is concerned. So far I have always been able to withdraw at least €1500 in one day. Today I wanted to withdraw 1000,- € but it didn't work. I was only able to withdraw €500, which is really a shame.

I then wanted to test again how long withdrawals to the bank account currently take, I haven't done this in a long time. And €7,50 per withdrawal is also not without. So fees are really high now.

playtime slotti
22.10.18, 11: 37
At Bronze Status, you can withdraw €900 ($1000) per day. But you have to wait exactly 24 hours in between, otherwise the ATM will always show errors or the daily/weekly limit has been exceeded. The only possibility would be if you also have a USD account. Then you could transfer from the EUR account to USD and withdraw the daily limit with the USD card. But this also costs additional fees.

Recently I had the case that sending money from EcoPayz would have been 0,20 cents more expensive than from Neteller. ecoPayz ATM withdrawals are limited to €250 per transaction and cost €5 each. So €15 for a withdrawal of €750 is pretty steep.

For the same amount at Net you pay €13,12 (1,75%) also at Silver status. Ultimately, the differences between the services are rather small. The decisive factor is which of the services works better, is easier to use and where you feel you are in better hands. You pay fees for both. Personally, I find the status at ecoPayz more pleasant than at Neteller, although I like using it just as much, but they should urgently do something about the requirements and limits for the bronze and silver VIP status.

That's a good question, one should inquire. Although I've now discovered paying out to the bank account really new for me, I had 3 payments to the account in the last few days and they were all on it the next day. Even the last one, which I initiated around 20 p.m. the evening before, is very fast and costs a flat rate of €7,50, regardless of whether I withdraw €100, €500 or €5000 or more.

playtime slotti
28.11.18, 11: 46
You would have to calculate the amount via ecoPayz, because it didn't exist before, but even that wouldn't be enough. They just didn't adapt it due to their massive restrictions in the German market. If you always deposit €500 somewhere, it could work, but it also involves a certain risk and who does that. Even if they set the limit to 40.000 or even just 30.000, it would be impossible for many users.

Glumbi
28.11.18, 15: 53
It's true, if Neteller doesn't improve anything on the content of the bronze and silver VIP, they could just make the first increase to silver from €15 or $20.000 a year, then even as a smaller player you have the chance to do this reach.

DonJuan, I don't understand why you are so upset about an account bonus given by VIP status. Either you have it or you don't have it. I once won $5000 from a Neteller lotto promo. I was really amazed was 2 years ago.

Let's stick to the facts, as far as I know, one of the fastest means of payment (different casinos still have to be deviated from). I actually haven't used Neteller for a very long time, but the withdrawal fees from a machine used to be very low, which was also the case in my eyes is a plus. Easy online transaction if you don't have online banking, and I think Neteller still offers easy payment options. Let's take Trustly in return. Here, the payout usually takes up to 24 hours before it is posted to the bank account.

Ah, everything is okay, understood, yes, Skrill sent me an email today, but at least it was in German.

Yep, the one from Skrill got through to me too.

I've had the problem for weeks that I can't redeem any Reward Points, I can go to the last order step, then an error message comes up, I've informed Vip Support umpteen times with pictures, etc. so far nobody has been able to solve it my last request has no more feedback. It's all very weak...

Here is the message when I want to send the order.

Okay, the problem hasn't happened to me before, but I currently don't have anything to redeem there, so sorry.

No problem, I have now collected the necessary points for the conversion into real money and then applied for this, strangely enough that worked. Possibly there is an error in the shop that they don't recognize themselves, no idea. It's weak, no one has reported back again, it's just left as it is.

They must have made a mistake or the bonuses are no longer available and they don't even know about it at support..

Glumbi

Everything is possible, the exchange for money worked and was now also on the Neteller account. Nevertheless, it annoys me and especially the support that just doesn't get in touch anymore.

Well, even for them the small players are not important enough, only the big VIP players can achieve anything, if at all.

Glumbi

That doesn't exactly show good service, but that has decreased at Neteller over the years one way or another.

That's right, even these stupid VIP levels, I just can't get over bronze anymore.. that annoys me.

Glumbi

Yes, that's also a thing at Neteller, I would have wished for a revision for a long time, but I'm afraid they would rather raise the limit for bronze than meet us there .

Neteller is currently annoying me more and more with their limits. Can't even withdraw more than €700 a day with the Mastercard. A few months ago it was double that or about 1500€ what's that supposed to mean.. my goodness..

They restrict all small players, but it's no longer worth offering as much service. It's different for me, but I'll keep quiet about the individual conditions.

Unfortunately, you are now severely restricted, which has often annoyed me, but what can you do.

Glumbi

It's a pity the development, you can't make anything clear. Play more and rise in VIP level but that's nonsense too.

Neteller's service is currently extremely annoying, I'm always having problems. There are days (like yesterday and today) when you just can't get into the account. And if you then call, you will be told that there are currently no faults. Then it is suggested to delete cookies and cache which you already do anyway. No matter what browser, other PC or mobile phone, nothing works. The bad thing is that they don't even offer German support anymore, although you call at local times. Waiting 24 hours and then trying again isn't exactly a helpful answer either. It can't be that it doesn't work for 2 days, then again for a short time and then not again.

My impression is that Paysafe's service has gotten worse and worse. Everything takes much longer than before! Limited service, i.e. sometimes no more incoming money from other dealers to accounts registered in Germany, etc. The service has become so bad that Neteller can no longer really be recommended, which I used to like have made. Nobody can be happy with such situations anymore. If they continue like this, more and more users will probably distance themselves from it. In any case, this is an indictment of the company Paysafe! Service and trust, these were perhaps once characteristics that applied to Neteller, but unfortunately they are miles away now.

I mostly use Trustly now

Glumbi

It's a good alternative, I have to say that I use Trustly quite often now, it's quick and uncomplicated. I don't want to give up on Neteller but they were definitely better and more service oriented a few years ago.

However, Trustly cannot be used with all banks. At least there are restrictions on branches, depending on what kind of BIC you have.

I gave up neteller a long time ago. do almost everything via trustly and skrill. deal with it just fine.

Somehow I haven't been able to top up my Neteller account via Giropay for 1-2 weeks. I use a Sparkasse account and always paid something into Neteller this way. Recently it has always been that it doesn't work and I should contact the bank. Are they blocking the deposit to Neteller?

playtime slotti

Do it directly with the local bank account, it just takes 1-2 days

Glumbi

Neteller is ending its rewards program and the whole thing is slowly becoming less and less attractive.
It's a pity, I'll redeem my points straight away, so there will definitely be a rush.

After Neteller got a new interface/website I have to say that payments are now very quick and easy again. This was very difficult for a while and very nerve-wracking to access.

At least they have solved the problem now. :happy0025: What I don't like is that all previously saved addresses and data have been lost as a result of the changeover.
You have to re-enter them. The status overview isn't that great either.

And there we are with the most important point of criticism, namely the VIP status. That's one thing I don't like at all. It also shows that they haven't really thought about how to make it more beneficial and attractive for users. The current variant of checking and setting the status again every three months is a joke and much worse than before.

If you can already drop from a bronze level to normal because you can't meet the target sums in three months for which you actually need the whole year, then the customers think about it after other providers to use.

i've been using trustly, sofort or skrill for a long time now - depending on what's available - preferably skrill. neteller was way too cumbersome for me about 2 years ago, bad service and problematic.

I fully agree with you. Was then also problematic because Paysafe had taken over. They really slept through it, but despite the criticism afterwards, not much has changed. Too bad actually.

I agree, today Neteller is outdated, you missed your money ...
