Moin together,

short break here at the conference but wanted to take up the topic of the corona virus due to the current situation in the media.
What do you think about it, the whole thing is completely overdone and how it is dealt with or are you perhaps even afraid of it?

Personally, I think the whole thing has been pushed up a lot, if you consider that in 2017/2018 there were around 25.000 deaths in Germany due to the group wave, it's all very clear now and there's absolutely no reason to panic. I'm annoyed by the scaremongering of the media, what do they want to achieve?

We're not talking about a virus like The Walking Dead or something like that at the moment, but something more manageable.

Currently there are said to be 13 infected people in Germany and around 770 dead worldwide, that's not very much to say the least, you don't know anything about the dead, were they possibly very old and sick, etc.

Now let's hear what you think, I'm curious. With this in mind, have a nice day!

It's all a bit exaggerated, somehow you hear less about it than a few days ago.

It's certainly not fun for everyone, especially people with a weak immune system can get problems, but for most of them the risk is not too high or similar to that of the flu.

Bullshit the whole thing, not worth talking about.

Well, I think you should talk about it, just don't panic.

Now the hype is really partly over, you hardly read anything about it anymore.

That then turned around again, the topic is currently very widespread again and sometimes you can already feel fear and uncertainty among the people. I don't really know what to think about it somehow well I wouldn't need it now but on the other hand I just hope not to get in touch with it.

This is currently more present than ever before and the spread (https://www.online-casino-tipps.com/corona-virus-weitt-sich-aus/) is progressing at breakneck speed. Events/fairs are cancelled, people stock up on supplies and it also has a really bad impact on the economy. The stock markets crash, worse than on Black Monday 1987. The DAX fell by 2000 points within a week. The Dow Jones is above 3200 points (more than 10%) and even the price of gold is falling. But what falls will eventually rise again.

There are crisis meetings, communities are quarantined. You can't actually prevent the spread, you can only protect yourself by always washing your hands, thoroughly and more often than before. But panicking now isn't good either.

It's also quite extreme here, at least in part. Some supermarkets here were almost empty, one in front of me bought canned food etc. for 500€.. then one wonders what people think will happen.. I think some of them have The Walking Dead closed often seen..

More and more countries are closing their doors, it's just a shame that I have a flight to Germany next week, I'm strongly assuming that that will also be cancelled. My personal opinion is that once again, the people alone can create a worldwide panic. It is more than understandable that the individual countries react and close their gates, but why some of them run here now and buy everything empty like tarantulas remains a mystery to me. If people behaved normally, it wouldn't be half as bad and you could focus on the actual virus!

Yes I agree with you. This scaremongering makes this whole situation even worse. In principle, the authorities do everything that is necessary and we all have to remain calm. The most important thing is to limit social contact with other people. So that shouldn't be that difficult, since everyone is only connected to mobile phones in social networks anyway. And you don't get infected, do you? :happy0055:

In the meantime, unfortunately, the whole thing is affecting me more than I expected, and recently I've even been afraid of it. not afraid of the virus, of course, but exclusively of the direct and long-term economic consequences. this is not even directly about me (although I also work in a very badly affected job) but about self-employed people in the closest circle of friends and relatives. because they have to look for themselves where they stay financially, which in concrete cases will most likely end fatally (in the sense of bankruptcy), so the tragedy is the fact.

The whole thing is now really more far-reaching than I think anyone would have thought at the beginning. This probably applies to many in all possible areas, whether private or professional, I currently do not think it is possible to assess exactly how this will turn out.

This whole virus with all its consequences is now a bad thing, I really didn't think that at the beginning. I hope to get better soon, but I don't think you should loosen all the measures too soon, it's no use if you end up having to row back.

We now always have to wear nose and mouth masks at work, which is sometimes really exhausting and it is difficult to breathe and it often gives me a headache.

That's really not nice, then you have to go shopping again with a mask, I'm really happy when I'm at home and don't have to have the thing on.

So here it seems like nothing happened, only in the shops the mask reminds of the virus. Outside you can no longer see anything from distance and the like. How is it with you?

At first I was really scared!
Now I think like you! But what's the use, we have to stick to the regulations and that's it!
It is said that the virus can only be "defeated" in this way... since I wish for nothing more, I stick to it.
Wear the respiratory mask, which you can buy cheaply here at healthsystems24, keep your distance etc.!
But as it seems, the whole thing will take a very long time ;( Ah... I'm so fed up with it all!!! I want everything to go back to how it used to be...

Anyway, all I can say is take care of yourselves!
At some point, Corona will also be a thing of the past!

If you look at the development now 6 months later in this thread, I can only shake my head at how Germany is dealing with the whole situation. I don't even think that it's because of politics, but much more the unreasonableness of the citizens, who once again feel patronized in their freedom. We all know that most Germans have their problems when it comes to their own rights!

So continue to take care of yourselves and don't challenge your health, because your self-protection is the most important thing!

If you now look at the number on the intensive care beds or the dead, that should dissuade even the last skeptic and denier from their crazy ideas of thinking that Corona was just an invention. Especially since the virus is currently mutating. That means the worries have not decreased, the opposite is the case.

If the ignoramuses here in Germany want to see pictures like they once did in Italy, then they just have to keep going and the situation will come up faster than you think. It remains to be seen whether the vaccine will then be the hoped-for solution. But there are also over 30% of the population who do not want to be vaccinated.

I would not currently bet on it that you can go anywhere in the next few months.
