Coronavirus

The corona virus is the dominant topic not only here in Germany but worldwide. Every day there are new numbers and reports of infected people and deaths. You can follow the news and reports on almost every channel throughout the day. In the beginning, let's say the people who weren't that worried might have thought that it wouldn't be all that bad.

In the meantime, these people are also starting to think differently, because the news about the corona virus is becoming more and more dramatic. This actually leads to a queasy feeling. We have never experienced such a situation in our history and therefore have no experience. It presents us with unprecedented challenges that we must now overcome, all together. Because people's worries and fears are getting bigger and bigger.

The economic consequences of Corona

This crisis means that many livelihoods are already being affected and will continue to be at stake in the future the longer this situation lasts. The economic consequences are unpredictable. Because the effects of the corona virus are already clearly noticeable and we are only at the beginning of this global crisis. Small companies directly or indirectly affected by this cannot hold out in the long run. There are enough examples of companies that might be able to hold out for 1-2 months. Not to mention the individual entrepreneurs who have become self-employed.

Even if politicians have promised support and help in the form of unbureaucratic loans or the simplification of short-time work benefits. How is a start-up or sole proprietor supposed to cope if he already has a loan that he has to pay. The consequences are simply catastrophic for many and will end in a shambles.

Prevention and spread of the coronavirus

Measures and risk minimization have been taken and expanded. Now it's up to us to follow these rules to get this pandemic under control. Even if it's difficult here and there, we have to do this to protect ourselves to prevent or slow down the further spread. Efforts are being made to develop a suitable vaccine. But it will be a while before the time comes and we can talk about relaxation. This means that we all have to avoid social contacts personally.

There are other ways to communicate with each other. If we don't do that, the virus can spread unhindered in such a way that we may have over 10 million infected people here in Germany. Nobody wants that for sure, but if some don't stick to it, then the next step would be a curfew with all the consequences. The Chancellor made this clear in her first speech to the nation. Experts also say very clearly that if the population does not comply with the recommended measures, then this will be regulated by means of a curfew. This is already being practiced in other countries. The unnecessary hamster purchases by some people are already being monitored by security personnel in other countries.

All of us in this world are therefore called upon and required to follow these rules and thus avert the greatest possible damage to our health. Anyone who does not do this is not only acting irresponsibly but is also extremely guilty of the spread and the resulting consequences.

What to do in quarantine or boredom?

Since almost all facilities are closed, no events are taking place or you should no longer meet up with friends, life is of course very restricted. Boredom can quickly set in, because watching the telly every day can also lead to tantrums. The urge to move and the spirit of enterprise can then no longer be freely chosen. For example, if you call gambling your hobby, you can only do one thing by closing the casinos. that play in online casinos At least it's a way to do it without endangering anyone. You can do that in your own four walls and continue to pursue at least this type of hobby. Anyone who has to be in quarantine or is already in quarantine or who is being banned from going out has enough time to do so.

But you can also do fitness at home. No matter what hobby you have, there are always creative ways to avoid boredom. Nevertheless, it will also lead to conflicts here and there if you have to live together non-stop 24 hours and for a longer period of time in a smaller space. We still have to have these experiences and it catches us unprepared because such a scenario simply did not exist in our imaginations. So let's try to overcome this crisis together and not just think of ourselves, according to the motto I, I, I! Help, support and understanding are the order of the day in times of Corona.
